VOA changes in B12

Effective 4th November VOA English is now on 15155 kHz(Philippines)  replacing 15185 kHz at 0030-0100 English Lessons, 0100-0200 English main programs.

VOA BANGLA NOW 30min

W.e. f.16th April VOA Bangla reduced their transmission time to 30min but the transmission continues for 60 min. 1600-1630 live and 1630-1700 (repeat of of 1600-1630 hrs) and can be heard on 1575 kHz-MW, 7475 and 11790 kHz.

VOA English new freq

In order to improve reception in South Asia, with effect from 13th March, VOA English is moving on to 15185 kHz (from the Philippines) replacing 15620 kHz at 0100-0200 UTC.

11790-New VOA Bengali freq

In order to improve reception of VOA Bangla at 1600-1700 UTC a new freq 11790 kHz is to be introduced on 28th April 2011 replacing 9320 kHz. The other parallel channels a this time 7475 kHz and the MW 1575 will continue.

VOA Bengali on a new freq 11850

Due to poor propagation on 6000 kHz VOA is using 11850 kHz via Philippines relay station at 1600-1700 hrs effective 12 November 2010 while 7405 kHz continues in parallel via Thailand relay station.

New freq for VOA Bengali

Due to cochannel inteference VOA Bengali Service is to use 7405 kHz (from Thailand) replacing 7435 kHz w.e.f 28th December 2009 at 1600-1700 hrs. Other channels at this time are 1575 kHz (MW) and 6000 kHz (via Sri Lanka).
